Craig Chanoff | Chief Executive Officer

Craig Chanoff is the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Modern Campus. Prior to joining the company, he held executive leadership positions at leading education technology organizations, including Blackboard, Pearson, EVERFI, and Lightspeed Systems, where he consistently drove growth, fostered innovation, and championed customer success.

Throughout his career, Craig has been deeply committed to harnessing the power of technology to transform the educational experience—improving outcomes, increasing access, and empowering learners at every stage.

Tom Hartenstein | Chief Financial Officer

Tom brings more than 25 years of proven financial and operational leadership experience across a range of technology firms. Prior to joining Modern Campus, Tom was the Chief Financial Officer of LRN, and previously the Chief Financial Officer of EVERFI, where he led the company's successful acquisition by Blackbaud. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia and holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a BSBA in Accounting from the University of Richmond.

Jessica Phinn | Chief People Officer

Jessica Phinn joined Modern Campus in 2022 as the Chief People Officer. Previously, Jessica was the Senior Vice President of People and Engagement for Nelson Education, where she was also Vice President and Director of People and Engagement. Jessica was also the Senior Director of Human Resources for Loblaw Companies Limited, one of the largest supermarket operators in Canada, and the Human Resources Manager for Pepsi Bottling Group. Jessica has a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from York University, and studied Chemistry at Western University.

Jerome Snell | Chief Technology Officer

Jerome Snell joined Modern Campus in 2024 as the Chief Technology Officer to lead the the technology and customer success teams. He brings 25+ years of product technology experience scaling companies in the EdTech, FinTech, and e-commerce industries. Most recently, Jerome was the Chief Technology Officer at Parchment where he led the technology team through the successful acquisition by Instructure. In addition, Jerome is a member of the advisory board for i.c.stars transforming the lives of underserved young adults with technology training and career placement. He holds a BA in Business Information Systems from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Rady School of Management at the University of California San Diego.

Lauren Holliday | Chief Product Officer

Lauren Holliday is Chief Product Officer at Modern Campus. With more than 20 years of experience leading product organizations and scaling technology platforms, she is passionate about expanding access to education and building solutions that help institutions and learners succeed. Prior to joining Modern Campus, Lauren held product leadership roles at edX, 2U, Elevate K-12, and Amazon Web Services. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Northwestern University.

Kim Mackenzie | Executive Vice President, Corporate Strategy

Kim Mackenzie joined Modern Campus in 2026 as Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy. She brings extensive experience in corporate strategy, M&A diligence, and post-investment support, helping drive growth and transformation across software and technology-enabled services businesses.

Before joining Modern Campus, Kim led growth diversification investing in education at Cox Enterprises and served on the Board of Directors of Amplify, a leading K–12 education technology company. She holds a Master of Accountancy and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Georgia.

Anupam Kumar | Senior Vice President, Professional Services

Anupam Kumar is the Senior Vice President of Services at Modern Campus. He and his team of over 100 dedicated professionals are charged with maximizing customer value across their journey by creating an efficient and effective customer experience through onboarding, implementation, consulting, and solution design services across all products. Anupam brings over 20 years of experience in leading and scaling complex services, operations, and post-sale delivery teams across multiple EdTech SaaS companies, including Blackboard, Blackbaud, and EVERFI.

Anupam is deeply committed to community impact, serving as a Rotarian and sitting on the board of the English Empowerment Center in Fairfax, VA, an organization dedicated to helping adults live more equitably through English literacy. Anupam earned his Computer Engineering degree from Virginia Tech and grew up in Japan.

Erin Theophanous | Senior Vice President, Revenue Operations

Erin joined Modern Campus in 2022 as the Vice President of Revenue Operations. Prior to joining Modern Campus, she has held positions across a variety of operation functions including building a full revenue operations team at D2L (Brightspace). Prior to joining the education technology industry, Erin also held operations positions at OpenText and Blackberry with a focus on M&A, operations efficiencies, and business processes. Erin earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a double concentration in Accounting and Operations Management from Brock University. In addition, she holds a Business Diploma from Conestoga College and is a certified a Project Management Professional.
