EPISODE 120: KRISTIN MALEK
Designing a Future-Ready University from Scratch
Achieving a personalized student experience can pose challenges within conventional frameworks, prompting the necessity for a fresh approach. Whether in a physical or metaphorical sense, it becomes imperative to transition towards a student-centric mindset.
On this episode, Kristin Malek, Behavior Change Designer at the University of Nebraska, discusses designing a university from scratch to better meet the needs of today’s market and how to be future-ready.
Author's note: Dr. Kristin Malek is a behavior change designer that serves in three roles at her university. The majority of her time is spent as an extension specialist interfacing directly with the community through speaking, workshops, and training. Most of her remaining time is spent in educational strategy working at the college level, but she insists on staying tied to the classroom by teaching 1-2 classes per year.
